Hey, the reason I'm wondering about this is because I'm supposed to be moving back to the states in June. I grew up in Florida but moved here a few years agoe. My dad moved to Corpus CristiTexas about a year agoe and after I leave my foster home in June, I'm going to be doing my eleventh and 12th year in texas. I just wanted to hear from anyone in Texas or from anywhere else in the states actually, about what the curiculem is like down there. I am in a regular high school right now so I'll be attending a normal one there to, but what courses are cumpulsory and where do I get help for brailling out textbooks, getting a braille note and stuff and O and M training. Any information about this is very much apreciated.

I can't say about the curriculum, though I think I've heard that Texas history is a must.

Contact the state division for assistive and rehabilitative services in Corpus Christie, and they can help you with brailling and getting signed up with recordings for the blind.

You can find their web site at:
www.dars.state.tx.us

Hope this helps.

If I can help further send me a pm.

Bob
